You never know when I might play a wild card on you!

When my son was in the 9-12 year old age range of this book, he had a hard time finding interesting stories.  He wanted adventure, intrigue, battles.  And I wanted a story that gave him characters with values of truth, honor, perseverance.  Here's a book that fills that need.  I appreciated the values blended into the story - not layered and labeled on the top - but part of a thrilling adventure.
